Easter Cometh:

Last night I started to write a long diatribe about how awful it is to wait tables on Easter Sunday and how long this weekend was going to be, but then, like an angel, Ruby let us get a pretty good (do six disjointed hours equal pretty good?) night’s sleep! It’s amazing how your perspective can change with a little shut-eye. I may post the Bunny Day rant in part, but I think I’ll wait until after Easter. Maybe my goofy smile and my new Dad-like appearance will calm the throngs of people who want their eggs benedict and want it NOW! It’s no good railing on people who haven’t been jerks yet.

We had Dan, Leah, Paul, my mom, and Dan’s folks over for dinner last night. Ani made muffalettas. MMMMM… That’s one of the things I miss the most about New Orleans. Ruby, who had been extra fussy all day, instantly stopped crying when company arrived. She doesn’t want to soil her reputation as a good baby. Since that always seems to be the case, I was wondering if anyone wants to come visit very quietly from about 11pm til 8 or 9am? I know I’m supposed to say that we are getting plenty of sleep, and that this is easy, as per my earlier post, but whew… I’m tired all the time. Coffee is my friend.

Please sleep small one... I love your little sighs and snorts.
