A Package From Japan Via Utah

Justin’s in town. He's been away. We're glad that he can pick up the package full of random stuff that was sent here by mistake. We're glad to see the pictures and hear the stories from his travels. We’re more glad that he finally got to meet Ruby. So many friends are far away, and even many of the ones who live here in town seem out of reach. I hope that Ruby gets to know and love all of our good friends. I can’t imagine raising her without the constant company of the people that Ani and I have grown to love over the years. It is tragic that Jim, Don, Mark, April, Charo, Greg Borg, and so many other good friends can’t be here with her while she grows. It’s even more tragic that I don’t hang out with people like Cory, Buffy, Charis, and D6 who live right here in town. I remember being captivated by some of my mom’s friends, and I still think of them as family.
