Spring Rose

We’re off to SF for a wedding. It’s kind of a tough day for us to go out of town, since Mother’s day is the craziest day of the year in my business. We are doing the mad-dash, five a.m., with baby, drive back late that night trip to the city. Those of you who live here have done it before. It will be our first big outing with Ruby, so we’ll see how everything goes. We are allready thinking about the Rhubarb pie at Ikeda's; we think that Rhubarb will be a good temporary nickname for Ruby.

Our back yard has 21 rose bushes. A couple of them have started to bloom. It’s really quite a site when they are all open, and the yard is splashed with color. Ani’s favorite is one whose blooms are a fiery combination of yellow and red. It’s first flower has arrived and is pictured here with my two favorite people in the world. Ruby was less impressed with it than we were.
